Johnny Rey's Biography

At 26 years of age, Johnny Rey was a bit older than most when he debuted in the adult industry. But his age was of no concern and he went on to become one of the most sought after performers in the late 80's and through the 90's. Rey was a celebrated member of the "gay porn brat pack" that lit up the industry in the 80's and 90's. Other members of this infamous group included directors Crystal Crawford and Chi Chi LaRue, writers Alan Gassman and Mickey Skee, and performers Sharon Kane, and Joey Stefano.

Born in California and sporting the typical blonde haired blued eyed West Coast good looks, Johnny's rise to fame in the industry seemed destined. His toned physique and eagerness to perform as much as possible led to quite an illustrious career. Over the course of his time in the industry he had the good fortune to work with studios such as Stallion Video, Night Hawk, Catalina Video Distributors, and Vivid Man. A versatile performer, Johnny worked as both a top and bottom, and often did oral only scenes.

And while he loved performing, Johnny was also interested in the industry behind the camera. He made his directorial debut in 1995, directing "976-Porn" for Bacchus Releasing. He went on to direct several more films for Bacchus and a few more for other studios including Pleasure Productions and Red Board Video.
