Kurt Young's Biography

Born and raised in Maryland, Kurt Young had a childhood that he describes as "predictable" and "normal." He played sports and "liked anything dealing with water." He attended college at University of Maryland and studied kinesiology. It was in college that Kurt became aware of the gay scene. In an interview he did with HX magazine he said, "I told my close friends, 'At some point, I will with a man,' " he recalls. "I was curious. After all, you only live once. If there's something you want to do, you should do it."

Something else Kurt always wanted to do was to get out of Maryland. So with his new lover Matt Easton, he moved to Los Angeles. The two found an apartment in Santa Monica and Kurt worked as a lifeguard. But money was tight and Easton decided to find an agent who could get him into the adult industry. Easton performed in his first scene, brought home a nice check, and thus Kurt's interest in the business began. He realized that he could make quick money doing a few scenes, but a few scenes for fast money turned into a successful career.

Kurt met director Jerry Douglas shortly after his debut in the industry. Douglas liked his looks right away, and offered him a role in his next film, "Flesh and ." After working together, it was plain to see that Douglas was taken with Kurt. "Kurt Young is the most talented, intuitive actor I've worked with," he says. "He's the most dependable sexualist I've worked with, and I adore him as a person." Receiving such a glowing recommendation, it's no surprise that Kurt became a fast favorite among directors in the biz.

Kurt's career may have had him taking his clothes off on set, but in private he is a man that embarrasses easily. "I'm the kind of person who won't walk around the house without a shirt on," he says. But he doesn't let his shyness get the best of him. He enjoys making movies because "I get to meet nice people, and I've made really good friends in this business. It's like any other job-you go for your eight hours and do the best you can."

Kurt is a versatile actor, willing to perform as both top and bottom. While he ended his adult film career in 2005, his films are just as mouth wateringly sexy as they were the day they were released. This classic star as staying power and will be popular for many years to come. If you haven't seen Kurt's work, be sure to check out "Flesh and ," his film with director Jerry Douglas.
